Just because we’re better off than most people doesn’t mean we’re where we should be. Just because we’re better off than most people doesn’t mean we have a real choice in which direction this country is going. Our votes mean nothing and they’re immoral to begin with, people that make excuses and guilt trips are only dodging the issue. Especially when the decisions made in this country with the illusion of our choice behind them are likely the very thing that’s oppressing the people that have no illusion of choice.
As for, “If you don’t vote, you can’t complain,” I think George Carlin said it best:
